My family - we are teachers, cops, and firefighters for the most part. Servants. Sacraficers. My dad was a cop. Three of my uncles - cops. Two of my cousins - cops. My uncle, cousins, and brother - firemen. My sister - a dispatcher. This is such a beautiful piece. I pray EVERY night that they all come home, EVERY night and that the horrors they may witness in the line of duty will not permanently change who they are at their core. I love them ALL each and everyone and I thank them here publically for the service they so bravely provide. I have held my peace lately but today I decided not to any longer. There are many more good cops than bad ones just like there are many more good people than bad ones. The media and fear mongers, and hate baiters just work harder than others to keep the UGLY of humanity in the spot light. It is ALL evil - pure and simple. But guess what? The LIGHT of CHRIST outshines it all. Maybe if more folks started trying to outshine the darkness around them the world would be a brighter place.
