Scenes from Bolton Town Hall last night where local anti-bedroom tax and anti-cuts campaigners staged a protest from the public gallery which forced the suspension of proceedings on two occasions. The protest only dispersed when the police were called in to clear the public gallery. The protest took place as a result of the Council refusal to discuss the adoption of no evictions policy, despite local campaigners having collected the requisite number of 4,000 signatories, which the Councils website says is required to get the issue discussed by the full Council.
