Use this cool infographic to brush up on your bird knowledge before joining us to celebrate INTERNATIONAL MIGRATORY BIRD DAY at Heinz Refuge this Saturday, May 10th. Join one of our volunteer-guided bird walks to see and learn about avian species that utilize the Refuges natural resources. Spring migration peaks in May, as colorful warblers, vireos, tanagers, grosbeaks, buntings and orioles move through the Refuge. Resident Bald Eagles are seen frequently soaring around Heinz Refuge. Meet at Visitors Center - - 7:00 AM Bird Walk, with Gregg Gorton - 8:00 AM Bird Walk, with Debbie Beer - 9:00 AM Bird Walk, with Lynn Roman Bring binoculars or borrow from the Visitors Center. All ages welcome, no experience necessary. Dress for seasonal weather, and be prepared to walk outside for approximately 2-3 hours.
