My first month in chiropractic school in 1975, Consumer Reports - TopicsExpress

My first month in chiropractic school in 1975, Consumer Reports issued a two part report on chiropractic. The only thing positive it had to say about chiropractic was that millions of people see chiropractors every year but thats because they rub backs and use psychology to convince people they are getting better. I understand the placebo effect and believe it has value, but I dont need any double blind studies to know chiropractic is so much more. I know it isnt psychological when a beloved family pet can walk again after care, or when a pet can eat again after not being able to before. I have hundreds of notes from happy pet owners grateful for the extra years of bliss they gained because of chiropractic. If you are waiting for research to prove chiropractic before you try it you are missing an opportunity. There will never be an accurate test to evaluate the beauty of a rose or to prove the existence of friendship or love, but they are real. By the same token, chiropractic works.
