My good friend Voltaire posted on this about shipping items and why they charged him more then he wanted. Read it and see what you think: Those of you who have ever ordered anything from me know that I will jump through flaming hoops to make sure you got exactly what you ordered and I will do anything (including refunding your order in full and STILL shipping the item) when things go horribly wrong. I call that good customer service. Not everyone agrees that its the way to do things, apparently as I learned recently when I paid $34 on a $40 order for overnight shipping and the package arrived three days later. Any communications I had with the company about it were curt and placed the blame everywhere but on themselves. I would have thought that getting a partial refund on the shipping cost would be a no brainer. The only no-brainer was their customer service representative: Dear Cory Williams customer service at superior-dollhouse-miniatures/ I did not hire the USPS to deliver my package.. YOU did. They did not charge me nearly twice the price of my order to get it to me overnight... YOU did. But when something goes wrong and it shows up three days late, instead of taking the responsibility, you wish to send me to go deal with your shipping partners, the United States Postal Service, fill out forms and stand on long lines to get my money back while you just sit back and enjoy the money you made from me. Where Im from, thats called passing the buck. The bottom line, from where I stand (not only as a customer, but also as a merchant who would NOT still be in business if my customer service was as lousy as yours) is that YOU are ultimately responsible for any problems with an order that YOU accepted from me. That is how I run MY business. Naturally, I expected that this would be how youd run yours. Clearly you dont agree. That part, you have made abundantly clear in pointing out multiple times that any problem with my order is either mine or the postal services and not your duty to fix or remedy. It would have been so much simpler to say, Sorry we charged you nearly $40 for an overnight delivery that showed up three days late. Please accept our apology and the portion of your shipping above what 3-day service would have cost. But I guess that just would have been too much to ask. Please do the world a favor and quit your job. Youre bad at it. Voltaire voltaire.net facebook/voltairefanpage twitter/aureliovoltaire youtube/voltairemusicpage
