My hat is off to commend all of the goat owners during tough weather conditions such as these. Here in Tennesse we have had more nights in single digit temps., this winter than I can remember in the 8 years we have raised goats. The wind has been absolutely brutal. A person must truly love and respect their livestock to provide the neccessaties they must have at this time. The water buckets freeze back over within an hour off removing the ice from the night before. Shelter, feed and hay must be provided but water is critical. For the lgds as well. To the folks up north of here, I had no idea what you had to deal with to keep livestock through the winter. Protect yourselves from the weather when you are tending the farm and good luck.
