My heart is deeply concerned and my spirit is stirred.. like the eye of a tornado. I cant even explain it but its in a way I have never experienced, heard, or felt before and wow. This is moving through me eternally. Woah. I dont even know. Im brought to the end of all of my knowledge, understanding, intellect, and wisdom. I am just reflecting on my thoughts and observations from tonight and I ask if you do not agree or are upset or offended please do not comment but message me if you feel its necessary or just want to : ) Soo tonight my mom and I went to dinner after a long day of her working and running errands with and for me. Bless her Lord! and while we were trying to find somewhere to eat the first two places we went they were closed because of the Super Bowl and one of them had actually planned an employee Super Bowl party. Wow. How fun and joyful I thought but as we were sitting in the car trying to decide where to go next.. My heart just began to enlarge and break out of me literally like jumped out of my skin and began to examine the area, environment, and present situation and woah I began to think about Christmas and how so many go out to eat Christmas Eve and even the restaurants and businesses now open on Christmas Day.. and as I sat there it hit me. The Super Bowl is Americas Christmas.. We once were a country who didnt even work or have places of businesses open on Sundays but now they not only are open everyday(most of them) but on The day Jesus was born.(some not all) One of the days we desire or it has been presented to be a time of family, reflection, and giving.. we now allow and encourage society and businesses to open and require employees to work instead of being with family or friends but today The trophy day of football we close businesses to host parties and encourage community, family, and friends to gather and celebrate. Now dont get me wrong Thats so awesome, joyful, fun, and glorious but what about The Party for Jesuss birthday!!?(outside of the concept of the pagan holiday) you celebrate your birthday every year right? The Super Bowl is fun, entertaining and enjoyable for sure. I myself love football but what breaks my heart is when WE as The church have encouraged, entertained, but especially INVESTED into this day of worship and glorification of man, idolatry, greed, gambling, fame, and competition more than into the lives of the poor, widow, orphan, fatherless, homeless, and lost. I dont mean necessarily just in financial or worldly ways but primarily in our lack of heart and sacrifice to reveal THE REAL JESUS.. Jesus who is the way, the light, and The TRUTH for all. Who poured out his blood and humbled himself to serve, love, and live with us in our wickedness, brokenness, pain, and sin. Oh Jesus we need you! Pour out your mercy, compassion, and grace into us LORD!! I ask that you guide and tactically place new words, visions, and foundations into the spirits of those who truly long for you and desire with their whole life and all of their resources to bring your kingdom here and reveal KING JESUS. Lift and launch them out of whatever complacent state or discouraging cycle they continue to find them selves in and for those who dont desire what you desire that you will bring them to a place to see your love, glory, and sovereignty in hopes it will push them to repent, surrender, and serve you FULL-HEARTEDLY in Jesus Name. While so many know of this day, anticipate with excitement and are eager to celebrate and come together.. Do the same people know the love, power, and friendship of Jesus and anticipate or are just as eager if not more eager to come together for the day of celebration when the King, our savior Jesus came into the world as a baby, when His birth changed everything we could not and still CANT? Wowzerzzz. We have become disciples of football and fans of Jesus.. Ohh Lord help our wretched, selfish, and hardened hearts. This realization and oblivion I witnessed tonight tore me apart.. limb by limb, organ to organ, and tissue to tissue. AHHH. The Conviction that not only drives me but draws me to a place of repentance over and over. Crying out for Jesus and not for Him to come to my rescue as He always does : ) but for Him!!! For just HIM!! Oh Abba Im asking you to honor and glorify Him in the earth in the midst of our ungrateful, idolatry, and ignorant lifestyles. Oh Lord shake us. Complaining about the day to day while taking advantage of the opportunity to impart life, truth, and greater love. Lord forgive us for living in a slumber. OHH JESUS WAKE US UP, WAKE UP YOUR BRIDE!!!! Lord thank you for always making good from our wicked ways and making all things come together for good and glory for those who love you. Thank you to all who have sewn into others and glorified God in this day, time, and during this event, thank for your heart Durham Rescue Mission and all other brothers and sisters who brought glory to The Lord through their ministry(s). I honor and pour blessing over these brothers in Jesus Name who desire to serve you and your people rather than to glorify themselves or fame. They have made the commitment of being disciples for you on and off the field and continue to sew into the lives of new disciples.
