My housemate and terrific friend and phenomenal teacher is facing an identical dilemma! We, as a nation, have gone terribly askew in our approach to education. We did not have these problems when I was growing up and our classes were well educated, trained to think, behave and excel. Our teachers were SUPPORTED! Now teachers live in fear of losing their jobs for not abiding by failing formulas and unrealistic expectations created by bureaucratic egos. We need to get back to systems that truly worked! We MUST protest and stop this nonsense and support our teachers!!! STOP the test approach! Stop blaming the teacher and blame the system. THE SYSTEM WAS PERFECTLY OK BEFORE THE TESTINGS~~~! We must look at Sweden and Holland to find our way BACK!
