My husband and I would like to take this opportunity to send, through THE SPECTATOR, a special New Years Wish for Sean Brown and his family. On New Years Day many, many years ago I used to hold a New Years Party for Jo-D and some of his friends. It seemed a good opportunity for the parents to have a few hours reprieve from their children and for me to host a party. I found a great picture last week but of course it is in a safe place where it will remain until I no longer need it. Sorry, Sean-youll just have to remember those parties without benefit of a picture. Instead Im including a picture of Sean and Jo-D when they played hockey and another at Jo-Ds wedding where Sean was best man. See if you can identify the others in the hockey photo. The third picture is of Seans beautiful daughter, Bella. Sean was not able to be home this Christmas and New Years. It is thanks to young men such as Sean that our country remains as safe as it possibly can from tyranny. Im sure many will want to add your best wishes to Sean, his wife, Starla and their families on this the first day of 2015. Remember, Sean, that when you entered the service and I agreed to be one of your references,it was only on the condition that you remain safe.
