My mom is an awesome woman. When I look back, there are imperfections, but nobody is perfect. I appreciate her so very much. One of the things I not only appreciate, but respect, is the fact that no matter what my dad did, she never uttered a negative word about him to me. She never voiced her distaste. She never once tried to get me to take her side, or persuade me into an opinion on him. Never. This wasnt because she was trying to hide anything. It wasnt because she was too coward to tell the truth. It was because she knew I was capable of figuring out my own opinion... ON MY OWN. I wasnt stupid. She didnt need to tell me what to think. His actions told me what to think. She didnt need to become the angry, toxic person, feeding me negativity. Unfortunately Im not as good of a woman or mother as my mom. Sometimes I so want people to see the truth that I can be that toxic person. Im working on it. Are you that toxic person? Is someone you spend a lot of time with that toxic person? Is it worth it? Anyway... enough rambling.
