My name is Jameka Leonard, and I was diagnosed with a brainstorm glioma that has grown in size. I am currently going to chemotherapy sessions every two weeks. I dont really feel too sad for myself, my concern is geared towards my daughter. My daughter was a toddler when I found out I had a mass in my head, then I find out it is a benign tumor when she was about 4 years old, and finally they diagnosed me with brain cancer a year later. She would ask questions all the time, and I would hear the insecurity in her voice. The not knowing why I had to visit the cancer doctor so much, and why every time I come from the cancer doctor I would become even more sick than when I got there. It was evident my daughter thought the worse about my diagnosis. So I thought to myself, there has to be a trillion more children like her, who has a parent or loved one going through cancer. So I decided to write a book titled Whats wrong with mommy(cuál es incorrecto con la mama). The objective of the book is to teach children a little more about cancer and encourage them to be brave while a parent or loved one battle cancer.
