My name is Phillip Ngwenya, 36 years old from Mpumalanga, South Africa.this is my Testimony Like any other children I was a favorite of my mother, but when I was a teenager I started to develop a negative attitude & bad lifestyle, I was associating with bad company. At the mere of age of 13 years I started stealing, drinking & assaulting innocent people. Seeing my mother living in unstable relationships contributed a lot to my bad behavior because I blamed my father for failing to take responsibility for my upbringing. At around 14 years old I decided to go away from my mother. Taking charge of my own life in a bad manner because I was an active criminal, but by 19 years old I was convicted and sentenced to a 25 year life jail sentence for murder eventually serving 15 years after receiving parole in 2012. Life was too hard inside prison, I didn’t know who to turn to, gangsters, church studying or playing soccer. After two years I decided to kneel down & ask God to forgive me, to protect me & give me strength to overcome any situation. I began to attend church & studying , I knew that as long as God is on my side someday my life was going to change, becoming a better man, trustworthy, & responsible person.I became successful in my studies, attaining some graduations & I began to facilitate programs inside prison, helping & motivating other inmates to change. The choice that I made enabled me to see the presence of God around & within me. My survival inside prison wasnt easy but because of the God of Second Chance I have made it out to tell you my story,I still ask God forgiveness. When I look at the world I see that many people build big beautiful homes but live in broken homes. We spend more time learning how to make a living than we learning how to make a life. I believe my purpose is to empower others by helping them make, meet and exceed goals and to instill self confidence in people in both their personal and professional lives. I have joined Send Someone Ministries to continue with my spiritual path to continue with my work as a Life Skill’s Coach /Motivational Speaker. If God can do it for me he will definitely do it for you. My Story by; Phillip Ngwenya Life Skills Coach/ Motivational Speaker [email protected]
