My neighbor across the street I understand that posting a nest is against the ethics of a true birder but i just cant keep the joy to myself when i saw this hatchling with his parent. Along with my fellow birders here in Riyadh, namely Roy Manuel and Sand have been watching the pair of kestrels since late last year at the mosque in front of my house. Every morning of our weekly sorties we often see the pair circling the minaret or mosque tower. Yesterday while washing the dishes, i thought of checking them out thru the window....without rinsing my hands, i rushed to get my camera and snapped a few burst...and there he is! they had a youngling! took this photo yesterday afternoon.....and today i was again surprised...will post it later, will process it first :) Lesser Kestrel (Falco naumanni) 18 April, 2014, Riyadh, KSA
