My nephew Rev. Ron Patterson and I just ministered for two hours on the telephone. We encouraged each other, prayed for our families, preached to each other, and sung songs in which we took turns backgrounding each other. (Big Smile). Thats what I call love for one another and love for God. Jesus said where there are two or three touching and agreeing on anything on earth, He would be in the midst. Ronnie and I talked about his mother (my oldest sister-Jessie Mae Big Sis Patterson and my father, Bishop Norman Brown (who is Ronnie grandfather) and all the church services and Bible studies we held in our parents homes and churches throughout South Carolina. We reflected back on the 2-3 weeks revival we use to attend as children and still got up the next day for school at Robert Smalls Elementary School and Long Jr. High School and eagerly went back to church in Kingstree or Lake City, the next night. Some people dont love or worship God like they use to do. Most people want to attend a one week revival. Matter of fact, a one, two, or three night revival. Let alone a 2-3 WEEKS REVIVAL. Most people have lost their first love, which is Jesus Christ. We need to go back to the old landmark. Give me that old-time religion. If it was good enough for my mother, father, grandfather, and grandmother, then its good enough for me. Take me back Dear Lord to the place where I where receive you. We live in a rush, rush world. People live like they have forgotten about God. But Jesus told John the Revelator in Rev. 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Therefore, I ask the Lord to take me back to the place where I first received Him. Lord, just take me back. Until we get intimate with God, we are going to suffer at the hands of satans attacks. God wants our quality time and not our spare time. We cannot do nothing with God holding our hand. We need God to breath, to brush our teeth, to comb our hair, to hold the telephone. People of God, we need God every minute and every hour of the day. Without God, we are like a ship without a sail. We are like a fountain without water. We are like a fish out of water. We are like a light bulb without power. We are like a tree with no leaves. But with God, we are victorious and can have a good life and will be awarded eternal life when we die. Ask Jesus to come into your heart today and forgive you of your sins and wrong doings. Jesus Christ will cast your sins into the sea of forgetfulness and He will never bring up your past. Jesus love you but He hates sin. Begin your new life with Christ right now. If I may assist you on your Christian path, please contact me. I will gladly pray and talk with you day or night.
