My short trip to Melaka, Malacca - Malaysia (8th January 2015 to 11th January 2015). It was my first time there. Overall rating: 9/10 It was a wonderful and memorable trip. Travelled by coach: StarMart Express (Golden Mile) Cost: S$40 (2-way trip) Rating: 9/10 Stay: Hatten Hotel. Duration: 4 Days/3 Nights Total Cost: S$290/- (including all taxes and service charge) Rating: 9/10 Hatten Hotel is a 4-stars Hotel in Melaka. It is a Hotel highly worth recommending to friends. Opened only two years ago, Hatten Hotel has nice/big rooms. It has great service and a wide breakfast buffet spread that no one in his/her right sense of mind would ever complain. Over the weekends, it is a popular hotel among Singapore holiday makers. Hotel location: EXCELLENT! Close to shopping centres, tourist attraction areas and Jonker Walk. The people in Melaka are very friendly. They are just like Singaporeans in the 1960s. They are straight forward, honest and sincere. Whether you buy or dont buy - never mind. They still return you with a sincere smile. Unlike JB, it is very safe to walk around in Melaka City. I had tried walking alone after midnight twice. The laws enforcement has done a great job in keeping Melaka City safe. I will definitely go back to Melaka again.
