My son Alexs Christmas Letter to me: Dear Dad, Merry Christmas Father Meffe! I am writing a thank you letter to you because I am so appreciative for everything the you have done for me. It will be Christmas morning when you open this letter so my gift to you is being thankful. You a such a good dad. I could never have asked for anyone else. All I need is a roof over my head, food on the table, clothes to wear and water to drink. As a dad, you go above and beyond! You pay for my sports, take me snowboarding, bring me on vacations and take me to hockey games. I am so privileged to experience these things and I enjoy every minute of them. Thank you dad! You and I have spent thousands of hours together driving to hockey and soccer. I need to thank you for dedicating so much of your time and attention directed towards me. Spending 2 hours in a car driving to Orangeville for a game gives us that little bit of time to catch up on things that we might not get to talk about every day. Now that I am in grade 8 I am usually busy with homework more often but those long car rides keep us up to to date on things. Ever since I was a little boy, you have been teaching me valuable life lessons. I must say that I have a few favourites. They include: Youre smart, you have a good heart, and you can do anything you want in the whole wide world. You used to say that to me every night before I went to bed. I am sure that you remember. Another one of your life lessons that means a lot to me is, Catch a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime. Whenever you want to teach me something you often say this and it is such a good lesson. Maybe some day I will say it to my kids. Lastly, I like the saying, When you lose, say little. When you win, say less. You always remind me of this when whenever I win a sports game and there is a lot of chirping or when I beat you in ping pong. When I asked you what you want for Christmas, you said nothing. I was very confused because you always give so much to me so I feel like I need to give you something in return.
