My son, Daniel, and I went to Chicago downtown yesterday (March 27) to participate in the immigration reform rally (End Deportations!). We saw there that our NIC Conference bishop, Sally Dyck, gave a public speech to the group. There were also other inspiring leaders such as Mexican immigrant Elvira Arellano and Congressman Luis Gutierrez. We marched from the Federal Plaza at Dearborn and Jackson to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office. 37 leaders were arrested at the ICE building for acts of civil disobedience.
