My son and I went to the Radar Museum at Neatishead this afternoon - TopicsExpress

My son and I went to the Radar Museum at Neatishead this afternoon and what a very interesting and educating experience it is, you get taken on a guided tour by different people as you go through the museum and its great. Its amazing to think that without places like this along the east coast (Stoke Holy Cross, Happisburgh) and being as advanced in radar as we were, certainly more than Hitler and Goering knew about, we more than likely would have fallen to the Germans, then who knows what the outcome of everything would have been. My Uncle Sid Woods worked here and took me to an open day they had when i was about 8/10 years old, so it was the second time id been in the Cold War Ops Room, and it was a real blast from the past to see that again. The Museum is well worth a visit. A couple of websites we were told about flightradar shows you aircraft in the sky all over the world at the present time and marinetrafficcom will show you just that, good fun. Also check out web page radarmuseum.co.uk for opening times and lots more, will also have link to Facebook page.
