My son is the Valedictorian of his graduating 8th grade class. He received 10 individual academic awards during the ceremony and the Leadership Award for the middle school football team. He scored the highest in every section of the Georgia Criterion Reference Competency Test (CRCT); exceeding in every area, scoring a perfect in one area and missing 1 problem in two sections (missed 9 total problems on the test). He is the Vice President of the Beta Club, Captain of the Academic Bowl team, Captain of both the Middle School & Recreation Football Teams (12U) and member of the Liturgical Dance Group. In football, he was projected to play varsity as a freshman (at the public school), but I am allowing him to attend a private school where they will allow him to dominate the JV squad (I didnt want him playing varsity on the line as a 13yr old) With all that he has accomplished in his short life, during his Valedictorian Speech, he said I was his hero and thanked his mother for allowing him to live with me so I could raise him. He stated I am a great dad because I am so active in his life. It brought me to tears... I have a Great Son.
