My take on Syria. First off I believe that no dictatorship is a good thing. However, if the majority of the people are in favour, perhaps this is what they should have. After all, what is democracy if not an expression of the majority? Any people deserves to voice their concerns about their rulers decisions and policies and in some cases, especially if they have the support of the populace behind them, rebel. What I find objectionable is accepting support from foreign countries in exchange for future concessions. Its no secret that the US will step in, either directly or through the use of intermediaries, to support any uprising in any country whose regime does not belong to the inner circle of US allies. By allying themselves to the US, the FSA, moderate or not, has lost credibility and thus the support of the people who probably feel they are better off with their own local devil than the foreign one.
