My thoughts on doing fasted cardio first thing in the morning for increased fat loss? This is one of the rare cases where I think it doesnt really matter what the research says. Because honestly, for me, I HATE doing cardio first thing in the morning. I would rather do it at a time where Ill be able to put in my best effort, not just mindlessly sit on a bike for 40 minutes because thats all I can manage to do because my brain isnt engaged in the activity. I truly dont care if I burn a little more fat because Im fasted in the morning. It takes the fun out of training...and a big part of my motivation to train is because its fun. I would rather push myself to near collapse in the afternoon than slog away on easy cardio in the morning. Im not saying its wrong to do fasted cardio in the morning, if you find it works for you. Its just my opinion
