My travels so far in life have shown me that ignorance abounds in the so called first world countries. Especially with degree holders, graduating from school but still stupid. Because design is attached to the name of my degree and I tell people I make clothes, they assume I am less of a man and less of an intellectual. Stop putting me in a box because you are stuck in yours. Maybe it’s time to pick a book and read a book about da Vinci and Apple. Does anyone even acknowledge Jonathan Ives? The industrial designer who gave you the iPod! Without creativity planes would not exist, without design apple would not have existed and you would be carrying ugly IBM boxes to work. I like to look nice because I was brought up wearing suits in the house and earlier in school, and I love art because I painted as a child but every molecule in my body was made to dissect solar systems and invent the next space ship. I plan to invent and innovate using design as my main weapon. So I apologize to any engineer or doctor or lawyer who thinks the archaic notions of intellectual pursuits lies only in their fields. It was artists who created law in Rome after all and a designer who was the first real engineer and surgeon in ancient history. It’s more than threads people, I will be the next great artist of my generation one way or another. I plan to be the re incarnation of Icarus, only difference is I will fly too close to the sun and not fall. - The Lord Boogie
