My wife and I both have personal email accounts on Yahoo and while - TopicsExpress

My wife and I both have personal email accounts on Yahoo and while we were on the Carnival Glory Heidi emailed all of her friends telling them that she was stuck in an airport in Germany and could they send money quickly. Obviously she did not know she had sent this cry for help until she got to the hotel here in Miami and discovered some bastard from Nigeria had hacked her Yahoo account. Luckily most of Heidi’s friends are smart enough to realise that it wasn’t Heidi writing but Mr. Ugabooga . And so she has to get a new account and after speaking with Carnival’s techy beards today it appears that this should not have come as a surprise apparently “ one uses Yahoo any more. …………….. because it’s sh*t”. This is not the first time I have heard this and I have always had beards and people with eyephones tell me to dump Yahoo, but I didn’t. Here’s why. I don’t like change. I’ve been using Yahoo since the beginning of time and I’m just used to it. Also, on the few occasions where I have explored other options, they haven’t persuaded me that switching accounts would be worth it. People say Gmail is so much better. Really? Will it answer my e-mails for me? Will it stop people offering me a bigger gentleman’s sausage? Will it give me an Aston Martin or allow me access to Megan Fox’s Bedroom? Unless it has something exceptional to offer, I don’t see the point. Changing an e-mail account might be simple, but not for me. I went to Gmail, took one look at all the steps involved, and gave up. So another reason that Yahoo works so well for me is because on top of not liking change… I’m lazy sod. While it’s many people I speak to have deserted Yahoo a long time ago, I feel a bond with the people who have remained. We’re part of the generation that listened to cassette tapes on a Sony Walkman. We had VCR’s. And landlines. We’re in a club. Then I can’t be bothered to change even though Yahoo sucks more than a factory full of vacuum cleaners. Anyway, because Heidi was hacked I am going to have to change my account as well so for Heidi and I what do you recommend……………..AOL, G Mail ?? Personally I feel like going back to a sodding paper and pen. Cheers
