My wifes mother lost her battle with cancer and has gone to her - TopicsExpress

My wifes mother lost her battle with cancer and has gone to her new home with her husband, and two boys. We have not lost her as her spirit remains with all of us who know her, and we have gained a new angel in Heaven watching over us. There are so many things I could say about her with the fantastic memories I have of her and her interaction with me and all of our family. I can see her great smile and sense of humor in my wife, each of our children, grandchildren and her boys. Having been able to live within a few blocks from her house for several years while our children were growing up, going to the same church, sharing many occasions in our lives, our family has had the blessing of her presence, humor, and love she has shown us. She has shown us what true faith and living out the love of Jesus for her fellow man looks like. Just to be in her presence, one could pickup on the kindness in her heart and the ability to lift your spirits no matter where you were at. Here concern for her family and others who came to know her was there always even in the days before her passing. Even in all of her pain in the last few months and some confusion close to the end, she was still calling out to us and wanting to make sure we would be ok. I have been blessed with four remarkable women in my life. My wife, whom I have spent over forty years with, has and always will be an inspiration to me. My birth mom, whom was taken away from me at the age of three due to severe mental illness, which at the time they didnt treat well, but whom I had the blessing to meet and enjoy the rest of her life when I was in my early twenties. My mom who adopted me when she married my dad when I was five and raised me, my sister and my two brothers. She was the mom I grew up with and loved and cared for and taught me many things in my youth. My mother in law was one I had been blessed to have in my life for about as long as I have know Peggy. So we have had a long history together. And she is one I know I have received many blessings from. Great people dont have to touch thousands of lives to make an impact on them, they just make that impact on anyone who comes into their presence. Marge had that ability and God has used her to share His gift with others. She will remain in our heart forever and her impact on all of us who knew and loved her will remain. I am sad that I wont be able to physically touch her, but am so glad that I knew her and she is at peace in her new home, smiling down on us. I love you Marge and thanks for the many memories and blessings. God bless.
