#MyBritneyStory began in kindergarten. I went to school in Pennsylvania where we had half-day. I was home in time for Disney Afternoon which included Goof Troop, Darkwing Duck, and yup you guessed it Mickey Mouse Club. I like to think thats also where my NSYNC obsession began(but thats another story) fast forward 6 years. My mom and I were at a store called Media Play and thats when I saw her again. Posters of her all over the store, Baby One More Time playing on the radio. I remember begging my mom for that cd and her saying no. I dont remember the exact day I ended up getting it, but I know once I got it, it was all I listened to. For the next couple of years I dressed up as that BOMT school girl for Halloween. Lets get to my first 3 tattoos. The Britney fairy from Oops! I did it again takes me back to 8th grade when my best friend Sarah Haftings and I along with one of our other friends decided to participate in the 8th grade talent show. We practiced that Oops! Routine for weeks and got up on stage and did it. That day I told Sarah that when I turned 18 I was getting that fairy tattooed. So I did. Sarah was with me on that day. The following year Britney released her Believe perfume and I loved that heart symbol. I got that tattoo because if you believe in yourself enough you can get through the hard times and the good times and you can accomplish anything. Its also for Sarah and she knows why. Love you girly. Its also about her and how beautifully she bounced back #VMA2008 Fast forward to 2009. 10 year anniversary of the album release of BOMT. The second CD I ever bought and how it would change my life. Britney Spears is not only someone Ive looked up to for the past 22 years but shes also been associated with lots of my happiest memories and even some of my saddest(no Im not talking about that time in 2007) these memories are all commemorated by tattoos all over my body. I have so many that itd be crazy to tell you on this one status about every single one so if theres one your curious about just ask and Ill be happy to tell you the story. There are so many things in between like 2001s Dream within a Dream tour which was my first Britney concert which I almost missed. Ill never forget how that concert was just 3 months after 9/11 and my mom wasnt gonna let me go because of the anthrax scares so she ordered HBO just so Id be able to watch her Live from Las Vegas concert so I would still get to see it. Thank you mom, Ill always appreciate you doing that for me and how you finally let me go see her show that year.
