Myhmmn, for All my Portuguese friends!... [And, Even the Ones that Dont like Me?...] lol. I got this Great Recipe, for Turkey Stuffing!..[or a dressing for Anything!...]. Sweet Bread Pineapple Stuffing Captain George Style!... 1/4 cup of Butter, 1 cup each of Celery, Onions, and Mushrooms, diced small. 1 tsp. each of salt & pepper, 1/2 tsp. of sage, 2 tbsps. of Bells Seasoning, [optional!...], 14.5 ounce container of chicken stock, 1/2 cup of Fresh Parsley, loosely packed, roughly cut, 1 tbsp. orange zest, 1 large can of crushed pineapples, [Drained!], go to your local Portuguese Bakery and get 2 loaves of Sweet Bread!...[If you Dont live near any Port - A - Gees], buy 2 loaves of Kings Hawaiian, Sweet Bread!...[The Portuguese Where the first White People to Discover the Hawaiian Islands! Henry the Navigator 1569, or so?... Much of the Portuguese Cuisine, influenced the Hawaiian islands, along with the Poloneisians! Slice the big round loaves, about 1 inch, thick slices, and lay them out to get Stale!..[1 or 2 days]. Toast these slices than cut into1/2 inch cubes. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F. In a large Skillet, [12 inches at least], melt the butter, [Garlic is Optional!]... Saute Celery, Onions, Mushrooms, and cook until Tender, Stir in Thyme, Sage, salt & pepper, and chicken stock, bring to a boil than remove from stove. In a seperate bowl, add the bread cubes. Add the Veggies & Chicken stock, mixture. to this add, parsley, orange zest, pineapples and mix Well. Spoon this into a 9 X 13, inch Glass Baking Dish, and Bake for 30 -40 minutes until, it seems heated thoroughly. For those of us, that like a Meat Dressing, along with out Turkey, you can grind up the Giblets, about 1/2 lb. of Hamburger, 1/2 pound of ground Veal, some Chourico, Linguica, onions, season to your liking, place all in a Saute pan and brown!...transferring this to a pot, cover with water, season with Salt pepper, garlic powder, which ever you prefer!... and cook on the stove top 20 minutes, or until almost cooked!... This can be added to the Veggie Bread Mixture to cook!...[If, you add the meats, extra liquid will be needed to cook it All, to prevent from drying out!... Enjoy!... Happy Thanksgiving!...
