NBC News: Several people, including possibly a large number of children, were killed in a small town outside of Gainesville, Florida Thursday, police said. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement was on the scene in Bell, Florida, at the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s request, said FDLE spokeswoman Samantha Andrews, who described the incident as a murder-suicide. She said there was no danger to the community at large and that the shooting occurred at a private residence.
