NEPSE INCLINES AT LAST MINUTE (NBB ruled in volumes) ShareSansar, 3rd October: It has become a trend in NEPSE to fluctuate at the very end moment before day’s closing. Today also the market index surged in the last minutes to close above the yesterday’s closing level. Throughout this week, the market trend seemed in a consistent pattern to fluctuate at the very end. In the first two day’s market moved to settle at green zone then on the next day, it settled in red and in the last two day’s continued with a rally at the end moment. Most of the late volatility in the market is either complemented by Others or Banking sector. However today, the late surge in both the sectors helped market to advance beyond yesterday’s level, to add 2.29 points in its tally. The local bourse at the end of the day came to close at 545.37 levels. Among the two of the sub-indices mentioned above, Banking gained 1.01 points while Others made a remarkable rally at the end to add 10.57 points. As for other sub-indices, Insurance dropped by 1.64 points whereas, Hotels, Development , Hydro and Finance were able to advance by 0.29, 0.98, 0.03, 0.88 points respectively. All in all, 99 scrips were traded, out of which 42 scrips gained, 19 remained intact and 38 scrips lost. The share with the highest gain in today’s session was, Nepal Insurance Co.Ltd. (NICL), closed at Rs 350, with Rs 31 or 9.72 percent growth. While, Country Development Bank Ltd. (CNDBL), closed at Rs 66, was the worst performer for the day with a loss of Rs 4 or 5.71 percent whereas, among the ordinary shares trading above par, Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited (SINDU), closed at Rs 112, was the top loser with loss of Rs 6 or 5.08 percent. The scrip with the highest turnover in today’s market was of Bank of Kathmandu Promoter Share (BOKPO), closed at Rs 481, with Rs 24,236,000 totaling 118,600 units which were carried out through 10 transactions. As for the highest turnover among the ordinary shares, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Ltd. (NBB) , closed at Rs 375, topped with 35,560 units worth Rs 13,268,660 via 59 transactions . The broker with the highest standalone dealing of the NBB was Broker No 6 (Agrawal Securities Pvt. Limited ) with 31.41%; amounting Rs 8,336,770 via 23 transactions totaling 22,305 units which include one matching transaction tallying 2,150 units worth Rs 806,250. In the overall market, 491,506 unit shares were traded by 1,458 transactions worth Rs 124,280,883.
