***NEW app of the day*** (5.99-->3.99) Wish for a Fish (Dr. Seuss/Cat in the Hat). Another great addition to the cat in the hat learning library. In this app children will learn about animals in the sea as well as the different parts of the ocean depending on the depth you go down to. They will learn about a couple of different types of sharks, some of the sea mammals like whales and manatees, dolphins and more. They will learn about how dolphins communicate with people. The food chain is explained in a fun way with rhymes. They will learn about depths of the ocean as each zone is explained and the animals that are found in each zone. There are 2 read options including read to me and read myself. In the read to me option words are highlighted as it is being read to allow children to follow along. My favourite part of these books is the touch text where kids can touch on either an image or a word to have that word highlighted and spoken. They also have the words that are written in bold which gives children the meaning of a word. This helps kids build their vocabulary as well as learning new sight words.
