Welcome to Bates Event Hire Bates Event Hire is a family run business which strives to offer a fantastic product combined with the best service possible. We offer a unique shabby chic Sweet Shop to hire for all occasions in and around Trowbridge, Wiltshire. We can accomodate up to 120 guests, although this can be increased or reduced depending on your requirements. We can work with you to give you what you need for to make you event special. Whether its a wedding, an 18th birthday party or a corporate event, our Sweet Shop will bring a touch of class to any celebration. Your guests will enjoy a unique experience as they have the chance to fill their own sweet bags with as much or as little as they choose! In addition, any leftover sweets are yours to keep and enjoy after the event has finished. We have an extensive list of sweets available and are happy to accommodate any special requests, all of which are sure to wow your guests! We will take care of everything including the delivery and set up of the Sweet Shop so there is nothing for you to worry about...other than your sweet tooth! If there is anything you would like to discuss then please feel free to contact us and we will promptly get back to you. Our Sweet Shop.......... You can hire our Sweet Shop for any occasion. Our Sweet Shop would look brilliant in any venue and for any theme you may have. The Sweet Shop is a reconditioned dresser making it a one off shabby chic decoration with all the cupboards and drawers in full working order. We have added vintage glassware and extra decorations to make this an eye-catching feature for any event that will get everyone talking and joining together. Our Sweet Shop is not staffed so your guests are free to come and go as they please. We do provide a Open/Closed sign for you to use if you only want the Sweet Shop to be available at certain times, i.e. after the wedding breakfast. This will stop your guests filling themselves up on the sweets and creates an exciting feeling of anticipation by allowing guests time to see the Sweet Shop in its full glory! Once the Sweet Shop opens, your guests can help themselves and pick n mix from a wonderful selection of sweets, with bags available for a take-home treat. We will provide you with an ingredients and allergy list for the sweets if required. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that supplied sweets have not come into contact with nuts. All glassware, tongs and scoops are washed between events assuring a sanitised environment for your sweets. All sweets are handled hygienically and we wear disposable gloves for sweet handling. Sweets are purchased freshly for events and never re-used. Prices We have the following options available to hire our Sweet Shop: Option A - £125 Hire the Sweet Shop only, with no sweets included. This would include 20 small empty jars, 2 large empty jars and 2 large heart shaped bowls. This option will allow you to add as many sweets and as much variety as you wish and for you to add your own twist. Option B - £225 Hire the Sweet Shop including sweets for 120 guests. This would include 20 small jars, 2 large jars and 2 large heart shaped bowls all full of a variety of sweets. You will also get to keep all the leftover sweets for all to enjoy after the event has finished. Although this caters for 120 guests, if you have more or less than this coming to your event we can accomodate your requirements - please contact us and we will create a quote just for you. Both packages include the following at no additional cost: - Setup of the Sweet Shop - Traditional striped sweet bags (can match to your colour theme if required) - Plastic tongs and scoops to handle sweets - Vintage scales - Open/Closed heart sign - Mr & MRS wooden decoration - Wooden heart bunting - 2 x hanging wooden heart decorations - 2 x wicker baskets You do not need to do anything, we will take care of the Sweet Shop so you can enjoy your event. Terms & Conditions 1. Hire price is for three days; day before event, day of event and day after. 2. A booking deposit of £50 paid by cheque is required at the time of booking. This will then be deducted from the total cost. The outstanding balance will be due 14 days prior to the event. 3. As we use good quality glassware and products, a damage deposit of £100 cash is required on delivery. If any damages occur to any part of the Sweet Shop, the cost of repair will be calculated and any remaining deposit will be returned. If on pick up the Sweet Shop and all the included products are returned in good condition after the event, then no costs will be incurred and the full deposit will be refunded in cash. 4. The Sweet Shop will be delivered and set up the evening before the event. If the venue has restrictions on access then it can be delivered on the morning of the event. The Sweet Shop will be collected the day after the event. 6. On collection of the Sweet Shop we will package up any leftover sweets for you to keep. We do not re-use sweets. 5. Delivery of the Sweet Shop is free within 15 miles of Trowbridge/BA14. If your venue is outside this area, the charge will be 40 pence per additional mile.
