NEWS: Here is the latest from the City of Medicine Hat from its briefing at 10:00 am this morning. The city is continuing with its flood mitigation plans as it errs on the side of caution to protect lives and property. Overall precipitation levels have been less than expected with some areas receiving snow. The city is waiting for the latest flow forecast from Alberta Environment which is expected this afternoon. That information will give the city a much better idea of what to expect. In the meantime, work continues to protect the Harlow, Riverside, Flats, and Lions Park areas. Residents living in the evacuation area are being advised they should be prepared to leave on a moments notice. The Arena and Athletic Park have been closed to the public because of a sewer disruption. CHAT News is continuing to follow this story and will have the latest on noon.
