NFL Hall of Fame ceremony tonight. Very good class top to bottom. Watch the speeches. This is a historic class. Now that Cris Carter, Coach Parcells, Larry Allen and Jonathan Ogden and even Warren Sapp are in, a lot of deserving players can go in, starting next year. 2014 HOF class should be: Tim Brown, Ray Guy (senior candidate), Andre Reed, Coach Tony Dungy, Michael Strahan and Marvin Harrison (maybe Derrick Brooks before Strahan). Add another senior candidate of course. The NFL has a logjam of deserving coaches and players that deserve to get in and/or should have gotten in YEARS ago. NFL, stop screwing Raider and Redskin players. Stop screwing kickers and punters. Time to start fixing it before Peyton Manning and Brady and Gonzalez retire, and before Favre and others become eligible. Time to put more specialists (kickers, punters, returners) in the HOF before Janikowski, Lechler, Cribbs, Hester and Vinatieri retire and their clocks start and before Hanson and Elam become eligible. Expand the classes to 10 or 12 (7-8 current, 3-4 senior) for a few years if you must. Just fix it, NFL. Just fix it NOW.
