NIC smash police to move third National Insurance Cooperation (NIC) netball club beat Police Netball Club 43-31 in the opening game of the second round of the national league over the weekend. Police have suffered a second loss of the season from the same opponent. “It has been a fair game for both sides only that my team was unlucky on the night” Police captain Abalo Florence told Sports after the game. Prisons and Kampala Capital City Authority Netball clubs smashed free two points (each) over Uganda Christian University (UCU). UCU did not honor the duo fixtures, “They haven’t showed up and no communication was made”. One of the officials said. Prisons are now topping the table with 6 points, followed by Police and NIC who have 4 points apiece. KCCA’s two free points from UCU helped them move from bottom to 5th place. Blue Star lies in red zone at the bottom of the table, with no points after 4 played games. Action resumes on Tuesday at Namboole when KCCA take on Police before NIC face rivals Prisons.
