NICU life is one step forward two steps back. Jax had a VERY rough night. Dehydration set in Saturday and they pushed a lot of fluid. He seemed much happier yesterday but his breathing rate was high so they did an X-ray and showed fluid by his lung again. So we have stopped feeds again and restarted breathing support. His heparin levels were low so now the fluid isnt draining as well and we will have to up his meds. Last night his IV blew and they tried six more veins before giving up and deciding he needed another PIC line. He is currently getting pedialyte through feeding tube and is doing well on it so we may not be getting a PIC. We are having a very hard time with these set backs. Austin is back to work today and it is a rough transition, please pray for strength for each of us! We will update as soon as we can.
