NIGERIA IS FAST BE COMING A FREE-FOR-ALL COUNTRY I wonder sometimes which way our country is really heading to? I do not mean that no good things or prospects abound, but the enabling environment for these prospects to materialise or the good things to be sustained is fast being threatened by so many factors and persons! The major opposition party seems to have nothing doing than enumerating a litany of the sins of the ruling party, hardly mentioning any good thing! The ruling party seems not to fight corruption but opposition; all you need do is to be a PDP member and your sins of corruption will be washed away with hyssop! Individuals and groups threaten the nation or national unity at will and no one seems to bother! Just go through some contentious issues on social media that borders on religious or regional interests and see how our esteemed youths (who are supposed to be future leaders) react; very few argue or contribute reasonably or objectively; majority insult themselves, their religions and founders, their parents and grandparents, etc without the slightest decorum! So if these persons become leaders tomorrow, how can they lead well? Many people including myself did not have much faith in the National Confab (even though it was worth trying), the reason being that nearly hundred percentage of the delegates did not go their truly as Nigerians; they went rather as Christians, Muslims, Northerners, Easterners, Southerners, Westerners! Dont get me wrong, yes each delegate belongs to a religion or came from those regions, but not thinking of Nigeria as a whole is and will greatly undermine the gains of the National Confab! With so many issues like these and many others, where really is Nigeria heading to and who can save us and how? I am just thinking and hope you also think along with me, may be we could progress from the thinkers club to the action club; yes, just may be!
