NIGERIANS DEMAND RELEASE OF 219 KIDNAPPED SCHOOLGIRLS --------------------------------------------------- It has been six months since more than 200 schoolgirls were abducted by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram in Nigeria. Demonstrators are demanding an immediate and urgent return of their girls and chanting we are angry Nigerians. Meanwhile, Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize winner has called on Nigeria to intensify efforts to free 219 schoolgirls who were abducted by Islamist militants six months ago. She said campaigners needed to raise their voices louder than ever to demand the freedom of the girls. Boko Haram fighters abducted the girls during a raid on their boarding school in Chibok town in north-eastern Nigeria in April. Foreign governments, including the US and China have also sent experts to Nigeria to help in all means.
