NIGERIANS REPORT (submitted by Naij reader Ben Okezie): PROBLEMS WITH Oba Okigwe road, Imo State! It is a well-known and established fact that the residents of the towns across this road have seen hell especially from Akokwa - Arondizuogu - Umulolo to Okigwe. This road is very strategic. It is the shortest Federal Govt road, linking three states, Anambra, Imo and Abia, and even beyond. The communities and inhabitants of this road sometimes are forced to stay indoors for fear of death. This road has wasted the precious lives of honest and hardworking citizens and will still do so in a very large scale if nothing is done abt it. The amount of negligence to this short but influencial road is alarming. Famous past Nigerian politicians have plied this road to these communities. It is now evident that it is a calculated decision to cut us out from the scheme of things in Nigeria. Farmer and rice cultivators are forced to eat up their products because there is no road to transport them to the markets! We are peace-loving people who strongly believe and always pray for the Good of our country Nigeria. Nigeria should in turn not forget us! Please contact info@naij if you can relate to this story!
