NMCC Fund Raiser for the Bernier Family – October 21, 6-9 pm Please join Amanda’s Angels and NMCC for a Harvest Banquet at Nataz Restaurant, 280 Branford Road, North Branford (in the shopping center at the intersection of routes 80 & 139) Award-winning chef Rick McLain, owner of Nataz Restaurant, promises you an “adventure in eating” and an evening of fun and surprises in love and support of NMCC members, Amanda and Chris Bernier. And all for $35 per person, $65 per couple! A portion of the ticket will go to the Bernier Family. Amanda’s Angels amandas-angels.org helps support Amanda and Chris Bernier, first responders in Madison, in their fight to save their baby girl, ‘Peanut‘ and to help in Amanda’s battle with ALS. Shortly after learning she was pregnant, Amanda was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ALS. (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease). What does ALS mean for Amanda? ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease which causes the deterioration of motor neurons leading to loss of movement in her limbs and her speech. Since the time of her diagnosis there has been an outpouring of community effort to raise money to build a home that is handicap accessible for Amanda and to cover medical expenses. While Amanda and Chris eagerly await the birth of their daughter and moving into to their new home, please help us help them by spreading the word, make your own table with friends, neighbors or family.
