NOT SILENT One of the thoughts that terrified me over the last year, when watching too many news shows and reading too many internet articles on radical muslims, Westbro Baptist Church, Neo Nazis, etc., is that our world is currently run not my the most level headed, but the most angry and passionate. Issues make news only if they are screamed, violent, and shocking. And news shows eventually cause law makers to make laws...and the weak minded beleave right & wrong is defined by legal and illegal. So what happens to our global culture when all decisions are based on the person with the loudest, most shocking voice? All laws start as one angry man or woman, not one rational thought. Calm, quiet, polite, shy people arent rulers, and arent news worthy. The level headed arent heard. Moderate, mild and neutral opinions are essentially silent. Good people, calm, polite, well adjusted intelligent people are politically silent. All thats required for bad ideas are for good people to remain silent. NOT SILENT From our darkened apartments From our empty homes From our lonely psyches we want to be left alone. Were we asking for this? or were we singing alone? And though we try to escape it, Now were stuck on this thrown. kind voices are silenced, fearful they’ll offend. While the evil are screaming, their voices never end.
