NOTICE ON CIMB CORE BANKING SYSTEM UPGRADE AND SERVICE INTERRUPTION With reference to the above, we would like to inform that CIMB Malaysia will be embarking on a core banking system upgrade, targeted to go live on 3 February 2014. CIMB Malaysia’s core banking system will be temporarily unavailable from 11.45 p.m., 31January 2014 to 6.00 a.m., 3 February 2014 to facilitate this upgrade. During this time, all banking transactions including but not limited to payments, remittances (RENTAS, SWIFT, inter-bank GIRO, intra-bank transfer), cheque clearance, over-the-counter and ATM cash withdrawals, and other transactional services will be unavailable. As the service interruption coincides with the 2014 Chinese New Year holiday period (and Federal Territory Day for Klang Valley), we are kindly requesting your assistance to ensure all transactions are made no later than 28 January 2014 and ensure that the “future value date” field for all transaction is not set for 1st and/or 2nd February 2014 to avoid disruptions to your operations. This is especially crucial for payroll payments to allow sufficient time for your staff to access and withdraw their salaries before the service interruption.
