NOVEMBER 16TH, 2014. (DAY 320) M D G DEVELOP SPIRITUALLY Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. (One of the major keys to make your ways properous as a Christian is to develop spiritually. By developing spiritually, means that you should spend time to feed your spirit with good food. And the ONLY food for feeding of the spirit is studying, meditating and listening to messages on the Word of GOD. Many Christians of today, are more concerned about their outward looks than their spiritual look. They spend lots of time and money just to look good outwardly and they are also concerned about any criticism they hear. Its good to look good as a Christian because it does glorify GOD, but its much better to develop spiritually. The question I want you to ask yourself is; do you spend much time developing your spirit as you spend on your physical self? Are you concerned about how JESUS sees your development spiritually? How can you develop spiritually, when you keep company with non-Christians? How can you develop your spirit when you are always preoccupied with things that are not worthy to uplift your spirit? You need to spend much time on: studying, meditating and listening to spiritually uplifting messages and songs. Avoid the company of doomsayers; those who are always talking about the negative things happening in the world. Keep the company of fellow Christians who will help you to grow in the LORD. Spend more time and listen to Good News; that can only be found in the Word of GOD. The Gospel is the Good News. Be much concerned about developing spiritually than you do with your physical self. Spend time in the Word of truth and feed your spirit man. (Amen). PRAYER: Othou Holy Spirit strengthen me to always feed my spirit man with the Word of GOD, in JESUS MIGHTY NAME, AMEN. CONFESSION FOR TODAY: Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to develop my spirit, by devoting ample time towards reading and meditating on the Word of GOD, in JESUS MIGHTY NAME.
