NPS Area XI AGM and Luncheon Thank you to everyone who attended our AGM and Luncheon it was a great success with lots of people having a catch up. Good food and good company is always a success. We said a sad farewell to our long term President Liz Mansfield Parnell she was presented with a picture of Rotherwood Rainmaker by Poppy Carter ably arranged by Jane Laffey. Charlie and Tori Oakes won the Presidents award for 2014 - what a year for our junior members. It was lovely to see so many junior members attending, also I must mention Millie Elliotts fantastic efforts raising money for Ashgate hospice via her show. We must encourage these younger members as they are the future of showing. Today was the day that members and exhibitors heard the news that HOYS have taken away our qualifiers. Everyone was in total dismay as to why this has happened as we have one of the best worker tracks in the Country - jumping in and out of bluebell wood is just the best. People travel miles to compete on our course built by Fiona and entries were very good often jumping in to the twilight. As a supporter of HOYS and initial sponsor of M&M (flats) enabling these ponies to compete at this most sort after show, I feel that HOYS are ruthless in their decisions and are taking the heart out of showing and put nothing back in ie. not supporting grass root shows. Please note these are my opinions, NOT NPS Area XI and are without prejudice. Please support our 2015 show with new classes for everyone.
