NSW Police Force A seven-year-old girl who went missing at Canton Beach, near Toukley yesterday has been found safe and well. About 4:55pm, (Thursday 25 July 2013), seven-year-old Georgia Browne went missing from the playground of a caravan park on Oleander Street, Canton Beach. Police were contacted and a large scale search of the shoreline and Wyrrabalong National Park was conducted. The search comprised police from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command, Polair, the Dog Unit, Police Transport Command, Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, State Emergency Service and local volunteers. About 1:25am today (Friday 26 July 2013), Georgia was located by a member of public assisting the search group in bushland near the caravan park. She was uninjured but treated by ambulance paramedics for exposure and hypothermia before being reunited with her mother and taken to Wyong Hospital for further assessment. Police would like to thank everyone involved in the search as well as the local community and members of the media for their assistance in the matter. People had come from many suburbs to help and were welcome support for Police and SES volunteers.
