#NYLibertyLiveChat Barry Brooks asked: A) The health of the players overseas appears much better now than it was entering training camp last year. Do you anticipate increased roles this year for certain players? If so, which players in what roles? B) Being that there is much more time between the end of overseas play and training camp and the roster should not turn over the way it did the last two years, do you envision the triangle offense running with more fluidity and with fewer specific play calls from the sideline? C) Do you see Charles as the 20-point 10-Rebound player she was in the middle of the season from day 1 now that she has familiarity with her teammates and the offense? Bill: A) We have the best trainer in the league in Laura Ramus and a really strong medical team, overall. They worked very hard to make sure that players stayed on the court last year and sent them back to their overseas jobs in better shape than when they came in. In terms of increased roles, I think we have already talked about Essence, but I also think that Sugar Rodgers has the opportunity to have a breakout year. She’s in great shape right now and is headed to Slovakia. B) Once we have a good understanding of what our team will look like, we are going to begin to talk more about our offensive sets. You’re correct though in stating that any offense will be more fluid if we have more time in camp. C) Absolutely. That’s part of how we’re going to get better, per Kristin’s earlier comment.
