Na wa o! The social media, will end up doing more harm, than the good it was designed for. That it is an excellent source of everyday information, is an indisputable fact and one cannot help, but admire its sophistication. It is wonderfully configured. A very interesting innovation indeed. However,there are possibly more social and mental maladies that can badly impair the senses of a large number of social media users and by means of that, reduce its positive impact on its audience. Facebook for example, directly and indirectly affects d faculty of reasoning of a large number of its users. It is a formidable force against privacy and as a matter of fact, is highly employed by some unscrupulous elements as a trade-route through which nefarious lies and deceits are easily imported into the minds of vulnerable subscribers. We find ourselves, endlessly fighting ourselves literally and verbally, sometimes, over inconsequential issues, with vituperative terms and the core reasons being cognition, thinking, talking or acting without inclusion of rationality by some social media users whose thoughts possess implications of rigidity and squareness and the counterattack by those users who think creatively, unimpeded by orthodox or conventional constraints. As humans, it is only normal, that we cannot collectively acknowledge the veracity of all schools of thoughts and at a juncture or more, we would always ply our own specific routes and on the long run, we would always defend our temporary and/or permanent interests. However, that dissimilarity of thoughts should not become a basis for victimization, prejudicial opposition, discrimination, stigmatization and character deformation. We should learn to set aside our differences sometimes, and seek ways to simplify the labyrinthine complications which originate from our contradicory conducts on social media. It is absolutely ludicrous, preposterous and ridiculous to grant the social media a right to colonialize our minds. Computer is an intellectual property of the human mind. Not otherwise. The more worrisome aspect of social media disorder is d inability of some users to strictly limit some developments in the social media to the social media. For example, u get into a literal battle with a fellow social media user which further degenerates into an exchange of vituperations thereby putting an automatic flaw in your relationship with ur fellow social media user; an impatient one will not hesitate to use the block key, thereby leaving practically no room for remorse and apology. That further complicates the issue bcos some under-developed minds will eventually bring that issue to real life and automatically brand you an enemy. Lets think outside the box. That we support different courses does not make us enemies actually. That you like GEJ and I like GMB, does not make us enemies, actually. That u nd I traded inexplicable vituperations with each other on facebook does not make us enemies in our real-life community. We must emancipate ourselves from mental slavery. Why should we become enemies over electioneering issues when the two major contenders do not even know us personally? Why should you call your brother a fool bcos he supports GEJ and you support GMB? Why should you block someone bcos his point totally contradicts your? Why not disagree to agree? TO BE CONTINUED!
