Narberth RFC e Newsletter Get Well We understand that young Connor Lloyd now a member of Carmarthen Quins suffered a broken jaw in an unfortunate incident in Swansea last week which resulted in remedial surgery at Morriston Hospital. Sadly, this will probably put paid to his selection for the Wales Under 20 tour to New Zealand during our Summer months. We hope that the medical treatment is successful and that he makes a speedy recovery. WRU & Volunteers for Rugby World Cup 2015 The WRU are looking for Two Volunteers per club for the World Cup games in Cardiff for the RWC 2015. The Volunteer Must be : 18 years Old Be available for 8 games during world Cup 2015. The Volunteer will be trained in Cardiff and will be given Uniforms They will need to be available from September 18th - October 31st 2015 Any person who is interested please Contact Kenny Davies on 07968360297 or Kenny.davies22@yahoo Last Week: Players, Committee and a loyal band of supporters enjoyed their visit to Newbridge RFC who gave them a warm welcome before and after the game. The game was a contrast to the previous week with an expansive style of rugby with the Otters running in 6 tries in their 3 – 36 win. A downside was an ankle injury to full back Johnny Morgan which will put him out of contention for several weeks and at the very end of the game a fracas resulted in Newbridge receiving 2 red cards and our prop Owen Jordon also. However the 5 pointer win keeps us in 4th position, 3 points behind Bargoed who have played two more games. On Friday David Moffatt held his extraordinary meeting in Neath when he introduced his plan and initiative to shake up the WRU Board. He intends circulating his proposals to all WRU member clubs. Scrum V showed aspects of his meeting. His views will strike a chord with many within the Clubs but whether he manages to progress with his proposals only time will tell.
