NationalMirror I’ve no apology for supporting Enoh –Imoke by RICHARD NDOMA on Mar 19, 2014 Posted under: Politics Cross River State governor, Senator Liyel Imoke, has declared that he owed nobosy any apology for supporting the member representing Obubra/Etung federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Owah Enoh, describing the lawmaker as one who had performed tremendously to the extent that he deserved more support and accolades showered on him. While pouring encomiums on the purposeful and good leadership quality exhibited by Enoh right from the period when he assumed office to represent his people, Imoke described the lawmaker as an icon in whom he was well please, adding that Enoh had distinguished himself by improving the lots of his people through effective representation. Imoke made the remark while speaking at the 2013 Owan Enoh Youth Empowerment and Intervention Programme for his constituents held at Ikom, Cross River State at the weekend. The governor added that the giant strides achieved by the lawmaker would make any unbiased person to continue to give him more support. Items given out by the lawmaker include: 21 cars, 63 trcycles, (Keke NAPEP), motor bikes, gas cylinders, electric cookers, stoves, electric irons, clippers, Hair driers, steamers for beauty salons, power generators, sewing /weaving machines, wielding machines/kits and cash, to some members of his constituency to kick-start their small and medium scale businesses. Earlier, Enoh described his constituent as being very appreciative, stressing that nothing was too much to give back to the very people who mandated him to go and represent them at the National Assembly. On the 2015 gubernatorial race in Cross River State, the lawmaker said that the political leaders will not trade-off the governorship position of the state. Liyel Imoke maintained that the brain power and capacity to deliver will triumph over other considerations, saying: “As we move closer to 2015, the quality of the conversation will change, we need to look inwards, we need someone who has the interest of the people and the state at heart.”
