Need opinions. Michael is not improving, and may be worsening. He is at Davis Hospital, and Im not sure they have the expertise to deal with what is going on (pancreatic necrosis). Dr said surgery not a possibility, but research I have done suggests it is necessary in certain cases. His Dr right now is a Hospitalist. Would you consider transferring to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray or McKay Dee if it were you? I dont want to make it worse by transferring him, and not even sure of the procedure to do so. It has been a week, and things I have read say give it two or more weeks. If improvement not seen by then...more aggressive treatment may be necessary. They seem to be doing everything they can. I dont want to jump the gun or make it worse. Just not sure at this point.Thoughts??
