Neil Armstrong, a cat so feral he bit a huge chunk of my thumb off last year and so hurt that he had to wear diapers (and Im still paying off $4000 left in vet bills after pulling him from a canal under Burnet Road) is now asking to be allowed outside and responding to being called to come in. He pulls himself up the front steps and hobbles in the door for supper as proud as he can be. Margot, his Bunny friend, made her first foray into the bathroom under her own hopping power this evening. She has tolerated having her bottom and feet bathed in the sink, but this was the first time she tried dealing with the feeling of tile on her paws and claws. My life is super boring on painkillers.
