Never approach fitness from a defensive mentality, like you have to do it to prevent being unhealthy, or prevent being out of shape, or prevent being sick, and so on. A defensive mentality is a victim’s mentality. Instead, approach it offensively. Look at what you’re going to achieve, and how great you’re going to become. That’s far more empowering. You’re not struggling to prevent undesirable circumstances from defeating you, you’re creating your own chosen destiny.
